Spaghetti and meatballs
Ingredients: -1 pound of ground beef -1/2 cup breadcrumbs -1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese -1 large egg -1/4 cup minced fresh parsley -3 garlic cloves, minced -1 teaspoon salt -1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper -2 tablespoons olive oil -1 onion, finely chopped -2 cans of crushed tomatoes (28 oz each) -1 teaspoon dried basil -1/2 teaspoon dried oregano -1 pound spaghetti Directions: 1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined. 2. Shape the meat mixture into small balls (about 1 inch each). 3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 4. Add the meatballs to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, stirring occasionally (about 8-10 minutes). 5. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside. 6. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until soft (about 5 minutes), stirring occasionally. 7. Pour the crushed tomatoes in the skillet and stir well. 8. Add the dried basil and oregano, and let the tomato sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 9. Add the meatballs to the tomato sauce and continue to simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes. 10. While the meatballs are simmering, cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. 11. Drain the spaghetti and divide it among serving plates. 12. Spoon meatballs and sauce over the spaghetti and serve hot. Enjoy!
