Sourdough Starter

Ingredients:

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup lukewarm water

Instructions:
1. In a clean glass or ceramic container, combine the flour and water.
2. Stir the mixture well until no dry flour remains, ensuring it is thoroughly mixed.
3. Cover the container loosely with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap.
4. Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for 24 hours.
5. After 24 hours, discard half of the mixture.
6. Add 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of lukewarm water to the remaining mixture.
7. Stir well to combine and ensure there are no lumps.
8. Cover loosely and let it sit at room temperature for another 24 hours.
9. Repeat the process of discarding half of the mixture and feeding it with 1 cup each of flour and water for the next 5-7 days, or until the starter is active and bubbly.
10. Your sourdough starter is now ready to use in bread recipes or can be stored in the refrigerator and regularly fed to keep it active.
